Macbeth homework act 1 scene 3

Macbeth:
If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me
Without my stir.

Banquo:
New honors come upon him,
Like our strange garments, cleave not to their mould
But with the aid of use.

Both Macbeth and Banquo have different views on how they will get certain titles. Macbeth is saying if he’s destined to become king he’s not going to wait around for it to happen and will take his opportunity to become king by any means. Banquo however is saying that these new titles that we are destined for we must work hard to get them.
